Christina’s book Arise! Global Radicalism in the Era of the Mexican Revolution (Univ. of California Press, 2022) was selected as one of the best scholarly books of 2023 by the Chronicle of Higher Education. It was widely reviewed in venues like Hispanic American Historical Review, London School of Economics Review of Books (London), El País (Madrid), QG Décolonial (Paris), Intervención y Coyuntura (Mexico City), Public Books, Spectre, and Jacobin. Named one of the best books of 2022 by The Progressive, the paperback version was released in 2023 and the Spanish translation will be published in Fall 2024 by La Cigarra Press (Mexico City).
In addition to talks across the US, in Canada, UK, and (virtually) in Mexico, Christina’s reading from Arise! was featured as a part of “GREENHOUSE,” the Official Portuguese Representation at the 2024 Venice Biennale.
